Empowering Women to Walk with Dignity

CHALLENGING THE SEXUAL ASSAULT CRISIS WITH COURAGE.

CHALLENGING THE SEXUAL ASSAULT CRISIS WITH COURAGE.

WHY WE’RE HERE

Survivors of sexual assault who choose to pursue justice against their offender after rape or assault through forensic testing face the decision to either give up their clothing as evidence and be left to return home in their medical examination gown, or to keep their clothing but forsake a compelling legal case. Find that hard to believe? So did we. So we’re on a mission to eliminate the choice between dignity or justice and bring a redemptive hand to the healing process for survivors.

ABOUT

DONATE

“The members of Cor-a are helping to change the lives of victims of sexual assault. I am seeing individuals on the worst day of their lives.  Anything that I can do to bring these survivors comfort or any kindness helps to start the healing process. Thanks to Cor-a, I am able to offer a wonderful care bag. Not only do they provide needed physical supplies to the survivors, but they also remind them that someone cares and they are not alone.”

DIGNITY IS THE MINIMUM

We believe a survivor’s basic right to walk with dignity, fully clothed and empowered to make decisions, is just the beginning. We are working to realize a world where each survivor is able to heal surrounded by a loving and educated community and has affordable and equitable access to the following; trained medical teams and facilities, mental, emotional, and spiritual health resources, and talented legal representation. Our vision is to walk with survivors to a place of not just surviving, but flourishing.

Partners in Care

We are proud to partner with emergency departments and advocacy centers providing unparalleled care to survivors.

FEATURED IN PENN STATE NEWS

“We want to restore power and control by supporting the victim through a traumatic experience and restoring their ability to make choices. The simple act of putting on clean clothes would be priceless.”

STARTING SMALL

Our founder, Madison, started Cor-a from the couch of her college apartment in State College, Pennsylvania. After reading a viral article about the experience of sexual assault survivors without clothing to wear and the lack of awareness surrounding such a life-altering trauma, she decided a change must be made. After a semester of tireless work and countless interviews with survivors and advocacy centers, Cor-a went from paper to practice upon winning the Arts Business Competition at Penn State. Madison and her team strive to honor the courage and advocate for the dignity of survivors everywhere.
